Terms of Service

By creating an account on Hirelett (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using Hirelett on behalf of an employer or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

These terms govern both job seeker accounts and employer accounts. Additional terms applicable to employers are noted where relevant.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Hirelett. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Because Hirelett uses magic link and Google OAuth authentication (no passwords), account security depends on the security of your email account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@hirelettai.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not create more than one account per person or transfer your account to another person.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Hirelett, including your Career Vault data, job applications, and any other information you provide.

By submitting content, you grant Hirelett a limited licence to store and process that content for the purpose of providing the service. This licence ends when you delete your account or the relevant content.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your Career Vault. You agree not to provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information about your qualifications, experience, or achievements.

You agree not to use Hirelett to:

• Submit false or misleading information about your experience, qualifications, or achievements
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or bulk extract data from the platform
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the platform's security
• Create multiple accounts or share accounts between multiple individuals
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Spam or send unsolicited communications to other users

Employers using Hirelett to post jobs and access the talent pool agree to the following additional terms:

Salary disclosure: All job listings must include a genuine salary range in USD. Listing a salary range significantly lower than the actual budget, or listing without any intention to pay the stated amount, is a violation of these terms and will result in account suspension.

Application status updates: Employers must update the status of applications received through Hirelett within 14 days of receiving them. Failure to do so will result in the listing's visibility ranking being reduced and ultimately the listing being paused.

Legitimate roles only: All listings must represent genuine, currently available roles. Ghost job listings, listings posted without genuine hiring intent, and listings with misleading role descriptions are prohibited and will result in account suspension.

Payment capability: Employers represent that they have the legal and operational capability to pay international contractors in the countries they hire from, including Nigeria. Employers who cannot make international payments should not post on Hirelett.

Candidate data: Candidate vault data accessed through applications or talent pool searches may be used only for the purpose of evaluating that candidate for employment. It may not be sold, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose.

Subscription plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Paystack. Credit packs are a one-time purchase.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to your plan features until the period ends. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Credits: Purchased credits never expire and are non-refundable except in cases of technical failure where credits were deducted but the feature did not function correctly.

Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will receive 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect on their account.

Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. Contact hello@hirelettai.com. After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable.

Hirelett uses AI to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, interview questions, career roadmaps, and other content based on your Career Vault data. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is produced to assist you and should be reviewed before use
• You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any content you submit to employers
• Hirelett does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated outputs

The Hirelett platform, brand, and all associated software and content are owned by Hirelett and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

AI-generated outputs produced from your vault data (tailored resumes, cover letters, etc.) belong to you. You may use them freely.

Hirelett is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that using Hirelett will result in employment, that job listings are accurate or up to date, or that employers are legitimate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hirelett's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Hirelett is not liable for: loss of employment opportunities, indirect or consequential losses, or any losses arising from your reliance on information provided by other users (including employers).

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, particularly around false information, application status obligations (employers), or fraudulent listings.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Hirelett after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
